This course in Basic Quality Control is designed for new or returning quality professionals employed in manufacturing or service companies.

 

The student will learn about or refresh their knowledge of the “Why” quality tools, such as histograms, data plotting, bell-and skewed shaped curves, lead to a high quality product and/or meet or even exceed a customer’s expectations when used correctly.

 

BA-100 is needed background for CP 175 (Certified Quality Inspector) and CP 185 (Certified Quality Technician) and any professional responsible for ensuring adherence to specifications.

The sessions will include Lectures, Question and Answer Periods, and Workshops. A suitable calculator for statistical calculations will be provided.

 

PREREQUISITES

None, but familiarity with basic algebra will be helpful.

Instructor's Bio

Tom is an ASQ Certified Quality Engineer, Professional Engineer and ASQ Fellow.  He holds a B. Met. E and M. Met E.  He has more than 35 years in teaching and industrial and consulting experience in service and manufacturing organizations.  He specializes in Continuous Improvement, Documentation for Quality Systems, Process Control and obtaining ISO Certification.

This course is available as an ON-SITE presentation, subject to the instructor’s availability.  The only requirement for an on-site course is a minimum enrollment of six or eight students, depending on the course.  The course content can be customized to fit your unique situation and presented on your schedule.  The instructor will negotiate on-site training on a case-by-case basis.
